Smokehouse Wins Shootout with 13-9 Victory over Don Griffin
Smokehouse Softball out of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia traveled to Botetourt, Virginia and left with the championship trophy in the Roanoke Valley Shootout.
Smokehouse faced Don Griffin Well Drilling in the Championship game and won it 13-9. Jeff Boggs was selected Tournament MVP for Smokehouse. For Don Griffin, Jeff "Dog" Brantley was chosen MVP.
In addition to winning a $500 travel fund to the Slow Pitch Nationals in Virginia Beach, Smokehouse also took home the $100 bounty, which was placed on Halla Heat. Smokehouse eliminated Halla Heat in the semi-finals.
Thanks to all the teams that participated and helped make this a great event for SoftballNation in the Roanoke Valley.
