The Beast of The East (Entries Underway)

The 2012 Mizuno Beast of The East is just around the corner.
The tournament will be held May 26-28 in and around the Richmond, Va area.

Attached is an entry form.

The tournament is a 6 game format event. We offer 3 pool games and the 3 game format elimination play.

You can send your entry fee made payable to SoftballNation to:

Remember, ALL entries must be received in advance.

This year's tournament will offer competition in Men's Gold, Men's Silver, Men's Bronze.
There is also a Black American Rec division. The BA division teams will play Silver pool play and then separate for a BA Rec division playoff.
We may also offer a Men's Platinum division (8 & 1up) if there are teams that want to play at that level.

The Men's Platinum and Gold divisions will likely finish on Sunday Night. The Men's Silver, Bronze and BA will finish up on Monday.

Travel Fund Prizes:
Men's Platinum ($750 Travel Fund) possible division
Men's Gold ($750 Travel Fund) ($1,500 if there's no platinum)
Men's Silver ($1,000 to Champions, $500 to Runner Up)
Men's Bronze ($1,000 to Champions, $500 to Runner Up)
Black American Rec ($1,000 to Champions)

Other Prizes: Mizuno Prize Package along with Team and Individual Awards plus all tournament awards.

The entry fee is $350. However, you can save $25 by sending your entry fee in before May 13th. Entries received before May 13th are only $325.

Teams must be sanctioned with SoftballNation for 2012 and you can include your $30 sanction fee with your entry fee if you haven't already sanctioned your team.

If you’d like to pay with a credit card, you can do that over the phone. Just give me a call at 804-378-2285.

Otherwise, you can just send a check.

Here's the schedule of events:

Tournament Schedule: will be posted on Tuesday May 22nd.
Manager' s Meeting (May 25th 6:30pm): The manager’s meeting is Friday night at 6:30pm at Harry Daniel Park at Ironbridge.

Hooters Home Run Derby (May 25th 7:00pm) will begin at about 7:00 or so following the Manager’s meeting.
Tournament play begins on Saturday morning at 8:00am.

Chesterfield County Slow Pitch Leagues

Early Deadline is March 1st

Chesterfield Adult Slow Pitch League Sign Up is Underway:
League Play at Harry Daniel Park and Warbro Athletic Complex:

The 2012 Spring/Summer Slow Pitch League sign up is now going on.

The season will begin the week of April 9th.

The Early Sign up Deadline is March 1^st.
We are taking teams on a first come first serve basis and we urge everyone interested in putting a team in a league to get in now.

Teams can sign up after March 1^st if there is space available, but the registration fee goes up.

Go to the link below to get the sign up sheet.
Print it out.
Fill It out.
Return it with your team’s registration fee and your non-residency fee.

If you do not send in your completed roster with your league sign up sheet, you must pay the $30 Non Residency fee. This fee will cover any players on your team that do not live in Chesterfield County.

Once we have the teams signed up for the leagues, we’ll have a Manager’s Meeting on Tuesday, March 27^th at the Holiday Inn Koger Center.

League play will begin the week of April 9^th.
